Beijing Tulip Garden

When it comes to tulips, many people probably think about the Netherlands. However, the motherland of tulip is actually Kazakhstan. They were taken to Constantinople via Silk Road. Thanks to Sultan Suleiman who loved those tender flowers they became tremendously popular and further travelled to Europe. Tulip eventually spread around the world after the tulip bubble burst in 1637. Here are a few photos from Zhongshan Park, right in the heart of Beijing. If you are interested in a little more tulip history, here is blog. https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/what-oil-price-has-anything-do-tulips-xinjin-zhao/
